Austerity and solidarity to save the euro

Omnipresent in the background of the World Economic Forum in Davos is the sovereign debt crisis in the eurozone. The great challenge is to find the ideal balance between on the one hand the necessary fiscal restraint, and on the other, the necessary solidarity between Member States.
