EU budget talks dominated the headlines here in Brussels this week.
Leaders met to negotiate how much to spend on the European Union for the seven years from 2014.
But it comes as national governments cut back.
Also this week, the Eurogroup failed to strike a deal on Greece.
EU civil servants protested against planned cuts.
And there was more violence in Gaza before a ceasefire was declared on Wednesday.
