Zika virus spreads to Miami Beach

US health officials in Florida now say that mosquitos bearing the deadly Zika virus have spread to Miami Beach beyond their initial identified “transmission area” of Wynwood.

Teams of health inspectors are fanning out across the state to raise awareness of the risks and preventive measures.

Despite the Zika risk now hitting one of Florida’s hottest tourist hotspots, few holidaymakers appear to be concerned.
