Leaders from more than 40 countries gathered in Prague for the first meeting of Europe's new political community, designed to help the continent mount a united approach to the challenges facing the continent.

The idea of France's President Emmanuel Macron, much remains to be seen about how the new club of nations will work in practice and exactly what it hopes to achieve.
