As the Paris Olympics continue, stars hit the red carpet in the French capital to honour Olympic champions Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps for their contributions to sport, along with the IOC Olympic Refugee Team.

The aim of the Sports for Peace event was to celebrate the social values of sport and to honour selected sports personalities for their significant charitable commitments to social issues.

Guests included top IOC officials as well as current and former sports personalities.

The event was hosted by Sports for Peace, which serves as a platform for athletes to come together and promote values such as fair play, tolerance and the Olympic ideals of peace and freedom.
