Israeli football fans attended a UEFA Nations League football match in Budapest on Monday eager to watch the men's national team play Italy — while also calling for an end to the Israel-Hamas war.

Certain European cities, like Brussels in Belgium, have refused to host Nations League football matches featuring Israel due to security concerns stemming from the October 7 attack.

While some countries have shied away, Hungary has stepped up to the plate — hosting Israel's men's and women's national teams during the UEFA Nations League tournament.

Fans who attended the Italy-Israel game on Monday night told Euronews that they were excited for the game but also a hopeful end to the brutal Israel-Hamas war.
