The German luxury car maker Porsche has recently revealed the design for the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, an ultra-luxury high-rise apartment block, described as an "architectural masterpiece".

The project will be carried out by Ananda Development, a property development company, as well as Porsche Design, which is the auto manufacturer’s luxury goods arm.

The apartment building will have 22 Sky Villas, which will range from 525 square metres to 1,135 square metres, and are expected to have a price tag starting from $15m (€13.59m) to $40m (€36.25m). These Sky Villas will have both quadplex and duplex options.

The building will also have a slew of other luxury amenities, such as an internal spiral car ramp, dubbed “The Loop”, luxury car garages ideal for car collections, a spa, pool, gym and social and business lounges.

The apartment block will also have spacious wraparound balconies, while also incorporating a lot of metal and glass in its design. It will also come with features such as electrically-powered cabinet doors and drawers, and upscale customisable appliances.

The project will be located in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok.

The construction for this 21-storey residential project is expected to start in 2025 and be finished by the end of 2028. It will be the third tower of its kind built by Porsche Design, with the others being in Stuttgart and Miami.

Porsche's 'passion' project to mix form with function

Porsche recently highlighted that these apartment blocks were a way for the company to provide exclusive experiences to their most valued and discerning clients. Southeast Asia is also a key market for the company, mainly because of important automotive events being hosted in the region.

In a statement, Stefan Buescher, chairman of the executive board of Porsche Lifestyle Group said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Ananda Development, marking a milestone in our constant pursuit of excellence.

“Following Professor F.A.Porsche’s design philosophy of ‘optimising function while uncompromisingly reducing the form to the essentials’, Porsche Design Tower Bangkok represents a groundbreaking fusion of exquisite design and optimal functionality.

“Our vision is to create a living space where one’s passion thrives. We aspire for passion in every endeavor, ensuring that our projects transcend living spaces to become expressions of individuality.”

Chanond Ruangkritya, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ananda Development, also said: We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Porsche Design, which symbolises an alignment of our belief- that passion fuels creativity and propels us to achieve excellence- as exemplified today in the concept of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok.

“We believe the shared passion between both partners, coupled with Porsche’s excellence in luxury design and Ananda Development’s meticulous attention to detail in real estate, results in the creation of a truly exceptional residential establishment.”
