The internet has spoken, and it seems that Kamala Harris is on a roll, with her running mate pick delighting (almost) everyone. Here are the funniest reactions to Tim Walz's inclusion on the ticket...

Ever since Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris took over from President Joe Biden on the 2024 ticket, one big question was who she was going to pick as her VP.

Yesterday, Harris selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate, a move widely applauded as Walz has a track record as a liberal policy champion.

A former Army National Guard and school teacher, Walz has been a long-time defender of LGBTQ rights, codified abortion rights, and provided free meals for all school kids. And he gives off affable, America’s dad energy.

The internet agrees, as reactions have been pouring in – with one of the first endorsements coming from former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter herself...

Here are some of the best and funniest reactions to Kamala Harris’ pick for running mate:

If Wonder Woman agrees, who are we to bicker? She wields the Lasso of truth, after all.

This sums things up quite nicely.

Considering Trump's VP pick J.D. Vance is going to have to debate Walz, best of luck not coming off as America's "weird" cousin when faced with America's benevolent dad. Vance has recently claimed that calling leading Democrats “a bunch of childless cat ladies” was merely a “sarcastic remark” - a rather desperate attempt to deflect charges of misogyny.

Those signed up to receive Trump's mails found out about Walz as Harris' running mate in this totally not unhinged manner.

Hardly hellish, now, is it?

Good luck with that, MAGA.

Well, quite.

Hmmm, bacon.

Ever since Kamala Harris entered the presidential race, streams for the Emmy-winning show Veep have skyrocketed. Creator Armando Iannucci stated that the central figure VP Selena Meyer was not iin any way modelled on Harris, but did admit that comparisons between the two would be inevitable.

God help us, we love an awful pun.

One aspect that has been talked about since the announcement of Walz as Harris' running mate is the joyful energy that they both bring to the campaign, and how it has rejuvenated a sense of hope - when only a few weeks ago, the election seemed handed to Trump. Case and point with this next reaction...

A lot can happen quickly in politics...

Let's hope they manage to keep the momentum going until November.

Oddly, it works.

Ah, you may have to read our article on the memeification of Kamala Harris to understand this one. From “coconut tree" to “brat summer”, Harris’ campaign is resonating with younger voters and transforming Harris into the "meme queen" of 2024. Speaking of meme queens...

We can't unsee that. But this next image might clear things up, regarding the cultural reference here...

Walz' face was superimposed on Chappell Roan's - “your favourite artist’s favourite artist.” You can read more about Roan here.

Bit much, maybe, but if it gets people voting, who are we to deny you any fire-based self-sacrifice.
