Wildfires broke out along Croatia's Dalmatian coast, near the tourist towns of Podgora and Tučepi, prompting evacuations.

While no casualties were reported, several moored boats were destroyed. A total of 755 firefighters and 10 Canadair planes battled 122 fires across the country. By Thursday, authorities confirmed that all fires had been successfully contained, safeguarding homes and hotels in the region.
