Web Summit Qatar 2026 opens in Doha with $2 billion in new funding, fresh incentives for entrepreneurs and a fast-growing global tech ecosystem.

Web Summit Qatar 2026 returned to Doha as the country accelerates its push to become a global technology and innovation hub. Opening with the announcement of an additional $2 billion for Qatar’s Fund of Funds and a new 10-year residency programme for entrepreneurs, the summit highlighted how policy, capital and talent are converging.

With more than 30,000 attendees from 127 countries, the event showcased Qatar’s expanding startup ecosystem through initiatives such as Startup Qatar. Administered by Qatar Development Bank, the programme has already attracted thousands of applications and invested tens of millions of dollars into emerging companies.

Global players like Microsoft and Qatar National Bank outlined how digital transformation is reshaping industries, while regional success stories including Talabat and Snoonu demonstrated the scale startups from the region can achieve. From fintech to robotics and physical AI, Web Summit Qatar positions Doha as a testing ground for the technologies shaping the future.
